I remember being around 7 or 8
i remember holding daddy's hand as we walked to the back yard
i remember him saying "where there's sun and rain, there's a rainbow"
i remember sitting with him as we looked at the sky, scouting for 7 beams of color shooting from the grounds to infinity
i remember trying to touch the rainbow, desperately wanting to rip it from the sky for keeps.
and i'll always remember, tru the cold rain, blinding sun, dad always brings the rainbow.
