boat yard!!

Went on a field trip to a boat building yard today. Was pretty interesting, they make everything out of aluminum, including the wheelhouse (cockpit) and internal tables and other furniture stuff. It really blew my mind how versatile aluminum really is and how jet propulsion can solve certain problems to the normal propeller. Liked it very much.

Now for the technical stuff, haha..

They have Twin Cummins 9.6Ltr engines producing 500BHP each.

*To compare, u know at the back of cars there's a number beside the car name, example Honda Accord 2.0, the 2.0 means it's a 2Ltr engine producing around 153 BHP (Brake horse power, means power produced by the engine that u can use). So in essence, this was ten cars in an engine. And i got 2 of them.

Was around 15M by 6M, really big boat weighing only 16 tonnes. (a car's around 1 ton). I was pretty impressed. Here's some of the pics i took before my phone batt died.....=(

Side of the ship, the holes are windows which will be glassed up soon

The monster, one of the 2 cummins engine

The front of the ship, the hole u see in the center means
it's a catamaran, or dual bottom ships. Why? cus it actually
glides on water when on full speed.

The other engine, notise it's waist height! Oh ya,
it's turbo charged too...

Port side (left side) view. It will be painted soon, as u can see,
it's all aluminum!
